Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before using GetMeCab to enquire about or arrange cab and transportation services.

1. Introduction

Welcome to GetMeCab. These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the GetMeCab website, booking enquiry facilities and related services.

In these terms, “GetMeCab”, “we”, “our” and “us” refer to the business operating this website. “You” and “your” refer to visitors, customers and individuals using our services.

By accessing our website or submitting a booking enquiry, you agree to these terms to the extent applicable to your use. If you do not agree, please discontinue using the website.

These terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Cancellation and Refund Policy, and any specific conditions provided for a particular booking.

2. Our Services

GetMeCab provides an online platform for enquiries and arrangements relating to passenger transportation, which may include:

  • Outstation and intercity cab journeys.
  • One-way and round-trip travel.
  • Local cab rental and city travel.
  • Airport pickup and drop-off services.

The availability of a service depends on the route, date, vehicle availability, service area and confirmation of the booking. Services displayed on the website may not be available for every location or time.

Where a third-party driver, fleet owner or transportation operator fulfils a booking, the applicable service and operator terms may also apply. The specific arrangement should be communicated before confirmation.

3. Booking Policy

When making a booking enquiry, you must provide accurate details, including your name, contact information, pickup location, destination, travel date, time and any other information requested.

  • Submitting an enquiry does not automatically confirm a booking.
  • A booking is confirmed only when confirmation is communicated through an authorised channel.
  • You should verify the pickup details, route, vehicle category, fare and applicable conditions before accepting a booking.
  • Changes to the pickup time, destination, passenger count or trip type are subject to availability and may change the fare.
  • Please keep your phone available so that relevant booking communications can reach you.

GetMeCab may request additional information when reasonably required to process, verify or manage a booking.

4. Fares and Payments

Fares may depend on the route, vehicle category, distance, duration, trip type, date, demand and other applicable charges. A displayed or quoted fare should be checked against the final booking confirmation.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, additional charges may apply for items such as tolls, parking, state entry fees, permits, waiting time, extra kilometres, additional hours or route changes. Applicable taxes will be handled in accordance with the relevant pricing and legal requirements.

  • Review the fare inclusions and exclusions before confirming your trip.
  • Pay through the payment method and schedule communicated for your booking.
  • Keep payment confirmations and receipts for your records.
  • If a fare discrepancy arises, contact customer support with your booking details.

No payment should be made to an unauthorised person or account claiming to represent GetMeCab.

5. Cancellation, Changes and Refunds

Cancellation, rescheduling, no-show and refund conditions may vary according to the booking, operator, time of cancellation and any special terms communicated at the time of confirmation.

Before cancelling or changing a booking, please contact the authorised booking support channel and review the applicable Cancellation and Refund Policy.

  • Any applicable cancellation fee should be communicated in the relevant booking terms.
  • Refund eligibility and processing time depend on the applicable policy, payment method and circumstances.
  • If a driver or operator cancels, the available alternatives or refund arrangements will depend on the confirmed booking terms and applicable law.

Nothing in this section excludes refund rights or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

6. Passenger Responsibilities

Passengers are expected to behave responsibly and comply with applicable laws and reasonable safety instructions during the journey.

  • Be present at the agreed pickup location and time.
  • Provide accurate passenger and luggage information.
  • Wear seat belts and follow applicable vehicle safety requirements.
  • Do not carry prohibited, illegal or dangerous items in the vehicle.
  • Do not damage the vehicle or engage in abusive, threatening or unlawful behaviour.
  • Ensure that children are accompanied and appropriately secured as required by law.
  • Inform the booking contact promptly if your travel plans change.

Passengers may be responsible for reasonable, documented costs arising from damage or additional services requested by them, subject to applicable law and the confirmed booking terms.

7. Drivers, Vehicles and Operators

Vehicle allocation depends on availability and the confirmed booking details. Where a third-party operator fulfils a trip, that operator may be responsible for providing the vehicle and driver in accordance with the agreed arrangement and applicable law.

Vehicle images, descriptions and categories shown on the website are for general information unless expressly identified as guaranteed booking specifications. Any substitution should be handled in accordance with the confirmed booking terms.

If you have a safety concern, a significant vehicle mismatch or an issue with a driver, contact the authorised support channel as soon as reasonably possible. In an emergency, contact the appropriate local emergency services.

8. Delays and Unforeseen Events

Travel may be affected by traffic, weather, road closures, vehicle breakdowns, public restrictions, strikes, natural events or other circumstances outside reasonable control.

We will make reasonable efforts to communicate material booking changes where practicable. However, a specific arrival time cannot be guaranteed unless expressly agreed in writing and legally enforceable under the applicable booking terms.

Where an unforeseen event prevents a trip from proceeding, the parties should follow the applicable booking, cancellation and refund terms and any mandatory legal requirements.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, GetMeCab is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of the website or travel arrangements, including losses resulting from delays, missed connections or loss of personal belongings, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Where a third-party operator provides the transportation, responsibility for the actual journey will depend on the confirmed service arrangement, the operator’s obligations and applicable law. This section does not remove any legal responsibility that GetMeCab or another party may have.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, negligence where exclusion is prohibited, personal injury where liability cannot lawfully be limited, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Passengers are responsible for their personal belongings and should check the vehicle before leaving. Please report lost property promptly so that reasonable recovery steps can be considered.

10. Privacy and Personal Information

We may collect information that you provide when submitting an enquiry or arranging a booking, such as your name, phone number, email address, journey details and relevant communications.

Information should be used for legitimate purposes such as responding to enquiries, arranging and managing bookings, processing payments where applicable, providing support, maintaining records and meeting legal obligations.

For more information about data collection, use, sharing, retention and your applicable rights, please read our Privacy Policy.

11. Website Content and Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, website text, branding, design elements and other original materials are owned by or licensed to the relevant rights holder.

You may use the website for personal, lawful travel enquiries. You must not reproduce protected materials for commercial use, misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with its operation or submit false or misleading information.

Third-party names, logos and materials remain the property of their respective owners.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are subject to the laws applicable to the relevant transaction and the parties. Where Indian law applies, the rights of consumers and other mandatory protections under Indian law remain unaffected.

If you have a concern, please contact us first so that we can attempt to resolve it. Any formal dispute will be handled by a court or other forum with jurisdiction under applicable law.

Nothing in these terms prevents a customer from exercising any statutory consumer rights or using an available legal remedy.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes in our services, booking procedures, business operations or legal requirements. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised date.

Changes will apply as permitted by law. For an existing booking, the terms communicated and accepted at the time of confirmation may remain relevant unless a change is agreed or otherwise lawfully applies.
